Micro-Needling Treatments

What is Micro-Needling?

Micro-needling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is the latest trend in this quest to stay youthful. During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce and improve collagen and elastin. A topical serum is also applied to clean skin (hyaluronic acid and growth factor), delivering the mechanical injury necessary to bring about the necessary change, and simultaneously delivering Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – the building blocks for healthy new skin – deep into the skin.

What Can I Expect With A Micro-Needling Treatment?

The results of treatment are both immediate and progressive. Many individuals will begin to see the effectiveness of the treatment after their first visit, however, a series of 3-6 treatments may be recommended depending on the severity of their skin condition. Micro-needling is a safe and effective method to activate cellular regeneration while addressing an array of skin conditions including: Fine Lines, Scar Revision (Acne and Body), Stretch Marks, Photo/Sun-damage, Tone and Texture.

Micro-Needling is considered a no downtime treatment. Immediately after your treatment, your skin will look slightly pink to moderately red. Depending on your skin’s sensitivity, your redness can last for another 24 hours. I include skin care products for your post-care to enhance your overall results.

Why Consider Micro-Needling?

Micro-Needling has become the new alternative for skin care, as it addresses overall rejuvenation. Micro-needling can be safely repeated every 4-6 weeks until you achieve the desired results. For collagen induction, we recommend to start with 3 treatments, but with a minimum separation time of 4 to 6 weeks between treatments. For scar reduction, an average of 3 to 6 treatments are recommended.
